TKF > ABOUT THE AUTHOR Anna Hawkins is an imaginative Capricorn residing in Southern Alberta, Canada. She is recently married, and currently owned by three beautiful feline-like monsters. She has studied web design for over ten years, and strives to remain a competitive and capable designer, and offer consistently excellent service to each client. She is currently finishing/editing her first novel, and her previous written work (including short stories, poetry, and book reviews) has been published by several online venues and groups. Her cartoons have been published online as well as in magazines and newspapers in her area. Anna is the eldest of three daughters. She is straightforward and values blatant honesty. She considers herself a person with a good sense of humor and no fashion sense to speak of, but enjoys good books and movies (Jurassic Park is one of her top five all-time favorites). She likes all music, with the exception of really-heavy metal, annoying punk songs, and derogatory rap. She exceled in Languages, the Arts, and Sciences in school, but was not as successful in Math. When she was only sixteen years old, she started a young Appaloosa horse from scratch, using only natural horsemanship methods. He is now a great trail and pleasure horse, and lives in British Columbia on a big ranch. Her love of horses (and animals in general) competes with her love of computers and books. Anna is an animal-rights activist, and is involved with several rescue groups in the Southern Alberta area. She teaches English as a second language to adults through an amazing Adult Literacy Program in her town. She volunteers at her local hospital as a registered 'Pet Therapist', with her incredibly-clever and handsome leash-trained pinto cat.
